My favorite thing to do is to draw stacks of flowers with a micron pen. 

Color comes later. 

Summer

It's been a busy summer for me with watching my son play baseball and going on college visits.  Making art has slowed down quite a bit but when you have your phone there is always the opportunity to find a beautiful shot. The clouds above are right in my neighborhood during an evening walk.

I found this beautiful blue jay feather on my deck

and this is the sunset on the roof of a building at Georgia Tech on a sweltering hot summer evening.

Little Clay Flower Sculpture

Mixing Model Magic colors to create earthy tones.  White acrylic ink details. 

Created a little clay free standing sculpture with a flower motif.

A Baby Maple Tree

My husband pulled out this little maple tree growing between the boards on our deck.

Isn't it amazing to see how the tree is starting from the helicopter seed? 

There are a million of those seeds everywhere this year and each one could be a tree like this one. 

 I found a better spot than our deck and planted this guy since he has such a good start.
