Clay Space

I visited a clay studio for a teachers workshop and created a hand built textured clay mug and a hand built leaf bowl that were glazed and fired in a kiln. I love working with clay and haven't had the opportunity to create with that kind of clay in YEARS - really a life time ago so this was just the best - loved it!

Lace was pressed into a clay slab to create the texture then cut to form the mug.

I started with a stamp of cat features and used chalk pastel to create the head.

More chalk pastel for the shoulders and a green background.

Next I used rubber stamps of different overlapping green leaves...

...and added more overlapping

Embellishments finished the card.
