Glass Etching 2

So I thought, "That Armour Etch Cream is fun. I wonder what would happen if I didn't use a stencil but just painted it on the glass?" The answer - not good. In fact - bad. So I ruined one of my favorite little vases. Boo hoo.

But then I remembered that I had these cool oil based paint markers so I covered the bad etching with marker designs then coated it with clear gloss Mod Podge.

Now I like my little vase again and learned to always use a stencil with Armour Etch Cream!

Glass Etching

My newest fun project. Glass etching. So easy!! I used square glass containers I found at Goodwill, Martha Stewart stencils available at Michael's (don't forget your 40% off coupon), foam brushes also available at Michael's and Armour Etch Cream available at Amazon.com.

First make sure your glass is super clean. Apply the stencils and rub so there's no bubbles. Use a foam brush to apply a thick coat of Armour Etch. Wait 5 minutes. Wear rubber gloves to rinse off the etching paste with running water. Dry glass and admire the beautiful results!
