Black and Blue

Model Magic clay in black creates a great background for shades of green and blue with white acrylic ink details.

I was cleaning out the garage and found tile left over from my kitchen back splash so I used a sharpie oil based pen to draw a line design to create a unique trivet.

Black and White

Working with Model Magic clay again. It's a light weight air dry clay usually used by kids. Recently I purchased some black clay for a lady bug lesson (see my post from April 29th) and decided to create simple black and white hand built pots. They are about 4" long.

This clay layers really well, is easy to work with and holds it's shape.

I used sharpie marker to draw the small dotted details.

Wooden Leaves

I found these cut out wooden leaves at a craft sale and hand painted them with acrylic paint. I used them propped against a wall or scattered on a table top.

Pink and Purple

I used Model Magic clay to create this dimensional flower - it's about 4" wide.
I love mixing the clay to create original colors and I used white acrylic ink to add the details.

A pinched bowl about 3.5" wide also make with Model Magic clay.

Detail on the foot of the bowl.

ATC Cards

The theme for out Artist Trading Cards this time is Paris Days. The trading cards are 2.5" x 3.5" and we make 6 cards - one to keep and 5 to trade. I chose to do a collage using textured paper for the background, a map of Paris and Paris landmarks layered on my card. Soft chalk pastel applied to the surface ties the color together.
